Dental scheme

The most commonly used is the FDI schema.
The first number always stands for the quadrant and the second for the tooth. In children, the first number is simply counted.

Tartar (calculus dentis)

Hard deposit on the tooth or dentures, mainly on the inner surfaces of the lower incisors or on the cheek side of the upper molars. Is ultimately a mixture of food residues and bacteria that calcify due to the mineral-containing saliva. Since an adhering soft plaque can become tartar after just a few hours, the best prevention is still to brush your teeth thoroughly after each meal and to take few snacks.
